Sedlmeyer- Alan Lee (Jiggs) (55) went home to the Lord on June 18, 2025, after courageous battle with Cancer and surrounded by family never giving up the fight. He was born on Feb. 8, 1970 in Johnstown. Preceded in death by his parents the late Leo D. And Ellen J. (McGuire) Sedlmeyer. Survived by his fiancé Heidi Jo Schilling, and son Landyn Saylor. Brothers Leo R (Kara), Rodger (Tami) Sedlmeyer, Nephews and nieces Derek (Kelly), Blaise (Andi), Zackery, Brad (Ashley) Sedlmeyer, Brandon, Tara, Tesa (William) Frasure. Great nephews and nieces Chloe, Soren, Elenor, Georgia, and Henry Sedlmeyer, Hayes Osman, and Owen O’Flaherty. Alan was an avid auto mechanic specializing in classic cars. His major accomplishment was the restoration of a 1968 Charger. He competed in classic car shows and was a board member of the Last Blast of Summer Car Show. In addition to his love for cars he was an outdoor enthusiast specifically focusing on target shooting and loading. Alan was an inspiration for his involvement in the United Spinal Wheelchairs Peer Support Group acting as a guiding force to deal with life in a wheelchair. His greatest love was his family and friends. Celebration of Life will be held on July 19, 2025 at 2:30pm at Berkey Church 1038 Church Dr. Windber, PA 15963.
