Zett – Barbara A., 76, of Johnstown, PA. Entered eternal life on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital. Born October 22, 1949, in Johnstown, daughter of William and Dorothie (Liska) Zett. Preceded in death by her parents; sisters Donna Fellows, Judith Freedman; nephew, William J. Zett III, and brother-in-law Thomas Hayduk.

Survived by her loving siblings, William J. (Barbara J.) Zett Jr., Catherine Hayduk, and David (Cris Beatty) Zett, all of Johnstown; brother-in-law Paul Freedman, nieces, nephew, grandnieces and nephew.

Barbara graduated from Bishop McCort High School in 1964, then earned a BS degree from St. Francis College. She went on to earn a master’s in public health at the University of Pittsburgh while also doing medical research on kidney disease at Montefiore Hospital.

Eventually she headed to California to work at the Marin County Dept. of Public Works as a hazardous waste specialist doing enforcement and helping to write policy.

Her family was grateful for her decision to return to Johnstown after retirement in 2009.
