Vantroba - Elizabeth A.” Hun”, 89, of Park Hill, PA went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin. Born on April 26,1936 in Johnstown, PA. Daughter of Peter and Mary (Podgorny) Vantroba. Preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Adam, John Jacob, Valentino, George, Walter, Catherine, Joseph, Sophie, Theodore, and Dolores.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews. Cindy (Tim) Allison who was like a daughter and son to her. Kathy (Kevin) Hartwiger, Ted (Audrey) Vantroba, Pam (Bill) Nemeth, Larry (Laura Ritenour), Sharon (Ron) Hickey and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth attended East Conemaugh High School until she was in the 8th Grade. Then went to Chicago Sister School until graduated in the 12th grade, becoming a nun, Sister Peter Marie. Following Sister School, she attended St John's College in Cleveland to obtain her bachelor's degree. After Cleveland she attended the University of Loyola in Chicago to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. While getting her education she taught elementary students and adult education. She ended her career working with Parmadale Family Services and returned to Johnstown. She enjoyed her retirement with her beloved sister Dolores. Elizabeth deeply loved her faith, going to church and spending time with the Lord. She also loved spending holidays with her family and singing Polish songs with Dolores to celebrate their heritage. My Melody of Love was one of her favorites to sing to us all.

Friends and Family will be received from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Monday February 2, 2026 at Baker Funeral Chapel and Cremation services, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the Church of the Transfiguration in East Conemaugh (220 Oak Street Johnstown, PA 15909) with Father Timothy Harris, T.O.R., officiating the mass.
