Florence I. Grove

Grove — Florence 1., 95, of East Conemaugh Borough, passed away on Monday, August 18th, 2025, at Arbutus Park Manor Retirement Home. She was born on February 9, 1930, in East Conemaugh. Daughter of George and Antionette (Waligora) Stralko. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Daniel W. Grove Sr.; son, Daniel W. Grove Jr.; many brothers and sisters; Her companion, Kitty.

She is survived by; son-in-law, Kevin "Mickey" McMahon, East Taylor Township; granddaughters, Amy J. wife of Jeffrey Wallet, of Johnstown, Jessica I. wife of David Hemming, Meyersdale and Megan C. wife of Brian Dumm, Ebensburg; great-grandchildren, Julia and Jalen Stephens, Emma (Brycen Sechler) Wallet, Madeline and Josephine Dumm; and numerous nieces, nephews.

Florence attended East Conemaugh High School. She retired from Conemaugh Valley School District where she was employed as head cook. Florence was a lifetime member of the Conemaugh Independence Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration. Florence enjoyed sitting on her porch and loved spending time with her entire family, especially her great grandchildren.

Family and Friends will be received from 1 to 4 P.M. on Sunday at the Baker Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services, Conemaugh, PA (229-231 First Street Johnstown, PA 15909) where a Funeral Vigil for the Florence will be held by Father Timothy Harris, TOR at 4 P.M.
