Osman – Georgia Bernice, 80, of Johnstown, Received her wings on June 3rd, 2025. Born May 2nd, 1945 to the late Samuel Sr. and Georgia Hill (Jones)
Preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ann Nettie Christmas, Majorie Hill (Falls) Ethel Coleman and Gladys Tullis; brothers, William, Samuel, Thomas Hill.
She is Survived by her two sons, Michael Hill of Baltimore, MD and Kerry Hill of Johnstown, PA; acquired daughters, Lisa Adams and Anika (Kevin) Reed.; two grandchildren, LaMont Stephens and Olivia (Kendel) Konce; Three great grandchildren, LaMya Stephens, Kahari and Aziariyah Konce; two acquired grandsons, Kevin and Anthony Reed; three godchildren, Justin Burk, Radiah Shaw, and Jerry Thomas; Sister Viola Miller, of Philadelphia; brother, Mitchell (Patricia) Hill Sr., of Johnstown; sister-in-law, Rose Hill of New York. Bernice had a host of loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews. Special friends, Rick Britt, Annie Washington. Laven Herdon, Gary Williams and Jackie Sterling. Devoted friends, Joyce Debouse and Velista Bennett.
Bernice was a graduate of the East Conemaugh iron Horses, Class of 1965. Later in years, She attended PA. Academy of Costmetology, receiving her license in July of 1984. Bernice was employed at best form foundation, Bali Bra, Dress Factory, City of Johnstown, Troy Laundry, and Westinghouse, Blairsville where she then retired from.
Bernice was a faithful member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mass Choir, Pastor’s Aide Ministry and Kept Women Ministry, family group member of the New World Gospel Ensemble, Blind Association, and the Youth Fellowship as a teenager at Mount Sinai Baptist Church in East Conemaugh, PA. She was a Daughter of Mecca Temple #294, Past State President and Alpha Council #1
Bernice hobbies in Life, were singing on the Chestnut street corner with her childhood friend, dancing, roller skating, and traveling with her nephew, David. She loved her family, socializing, and friends.
Bernice will be received on Friday, June 13th, 2025 from 9 AM to 11 AM at St. James Missionary Baptist Church (400 Pine Street Johnstown, PA 15902) with the Homegoing service to start at 11 AM. Graveside will be following the completion of the service, graveside held at Richland Cemetery.
Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Baker Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services. The family would like to give huge thank yous to the 7th floor Rose staff at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Davita Dialysis Staff, and Richland Rehab.
