Grace Marie Malfer

Malfer – Grace Marie, 86, of Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on July 30th, 2025 at home Surrounded by her loved ones. Born on May 7th, 1939, in Johnstown, daughter of Peter and Ruth (Yingling) Williams.

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Eugene L. Malfer; her parents; Sister, Dolores (Williams) Weimer and Christine (Williams) Livingston; brothers, Richard, Joseph, John Williams; grand-children, Casey Malfer and Justin Ream.

She is survived by her son, Randy (Vicki) and Thomas Malfer; daughter, Deborah (James) Cook; grandchildren, Toni (Edwin) Shaffer, Grace (Misty) Cook-McGowan, Travis Lodolinski, James Cook Jr., Samantha (Troy Covalt) Malfer, Ashley (Quincey) Castaphney Joshua (Ashley) Malfer, Brandon (Hannah) Cook, Tommy (Madison Moore) Malfer Jr., Cory Ullery, Chelsea Ullery, Alaina Malfer, Christian Malfer, Zachary Malfer, Bentley Malfer; Sisters, Linda Thiel, Mary Briggs, Annie Urban, Lillian Kmett, Betty Stephens; several great-grandkids and several nieces and nephews.

Grace ,an avid Church Lover, attended The Transfiguration Church in Conemaugh for over 55 years. She took bingo very seriously. Grace loved shopping and going out to eat with her loved ones, especially their Dairy Queen trips. Traveling was a yearly routine with her sisters and other family members. Traveling anywhere warm and could put their toes in the sand. Grace took pride in the way she looked. Having her hair and makeup done. Grace retired in 2021 after working as a Certified Nurse Assistant for the majority of her years of service.

Friends and family will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025 at the Baker Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services (229-231 First Street, Conemaugh, PA 15909). On Monday, August 4th, 2025 at 10:00 AM a Funeral Mass will be held at The Transfiguration Church (220 Oak Street East Conemaugh, PA 15909) by Pastor Timothy Harris. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
