BOTTEICHER - Kevin Wayne, 59, of Richland Township. Surrounded by loved ones in his home, Kevin went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 27th, 2026, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on January 27th, 1967, in Johnstown, Kevin was the son of James Botteicher and Ruth Killinger.
Preceded in death by Father James Botteicher and his wife Marsha; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Nellie Botteicher; maternal grandparents Wilbert and Blanche Blough, Uncle Ralph "Butch" Botteicher Jr.; sisters, Tina and Karen Botteicher; former stepfather Robert "Rusty" Killinger; and lifelong best friend Shawn Toth.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Melissa; mother, Ruth Killinger; siblings, Timothy Botteicher (Carol), Rebekah Gehosky (Jeremy), Toby Allen, Kevin Allen (Mandy), Annette Martinez, Tanya Allen; daughters, Justine Botteicher (Keith Myers), Amber Siciliano (Joseph), Brittany Hybki, Kiara DiFalco, Colleen Stroscio (Michael) and Sheena Reynolds; sons, Kyle Pollino (Ashley), and Travis Hybki; grandchildren Anthony, Angelina, Giovanni, Joey, Helena, Tailor, Alayliah, Massiano, Taylor, Skyla, Carly, Kayden, Blake, Alydia, Rayah, Xzavier, Mason, Brayden, Nolan, Annabella, Liam, Kennedy, Soleia, Tallah, Shayley, Kylah, Preston, Sawyer, and Shaianne; great-grandchildren, Wesley and Cooper; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
During the span of his 20 years of employment at D. Edwards in Windber, where he was treated like family, he was a truck driver and performed many other roles.
Kevin was a dedicated volunteer fireman, for multiple fire departments, for a period of time extending nearly 35 years. He achieved the role of Assistant Chief during his time at Ideal Fire Department and finished his fire career at Conemaugh Township Volunteer Fire Department.
Kevin enjoyed many hobbies including outdoor activities, working on vehicles, and racing at Jennerstown Speedway.
Family and friends will be received at Baker Funeral Chapel in East Conemaugh, PA, from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM and 4:00 PM-8:00 PM on Friday, September 4th, 2026. Funeral service will be held at Beulah United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 5th, 2026 at 10:00 AM with the funeral procession to Mount Hope Cemetery in South Fork for Internment to follow.
