Harris – Richard Hugh, 88, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 18th, 2025. Born on August 2nd, 1937, in Johnstown, son of Hugh and Martha (Berry) Harris. Preceded in death by his loving parents; sister, Shirley Berry; brothers, Theodore, Chester, and Johnny Harris.

He is survived by his loving wife, Denise (Robinson) Harris; son, Richard Harris Jr., Bobby Harris, Fred Boykin; daughters, Danielle (William) Pike, Kim Mangum Ruthan Boykin; grandchildren, William Harvey Charles Pike; sisters, Edith Harris; brothers, Henry, Rudolph, Lawerance Harris and several nieces and nephews.

Richard attended Greater Johnstown High School. He was a US Army Veteran serving 3 years during the Cold War. Richard retired from the Nuclear Regulatory Agency. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, going fishing, and traveling throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time with the family whether it was going to the city, out to eat, or on vacation.

Family and Friends will be received from 10 A.M. till the start of service at 11 A.M. on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, at the Baker Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services (229-231 First Street, Conemaugh, PA 15909). Committal will be at Benshoff Hill Cemetery following the service with Military Honors. Online condolences may be posted to www.bakerfuneralchapel.com.
