Susan Dietz

Dietz – Susan, 65, of East Conemaugh, went to be with the Lord on July 6th, 2025 at home surrounded by loved ones. Born on April 15th, 1960 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Labosky) Barbus. Preceded in death by her loving parents; her dear sisters, Paulette, Barbara, Elayne, Melanie, Joyce; Father and mother in-laws, Bill and Mildred Dietz.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Robin Ray Dietz; son, Derek Dietz; daughter, Jocelyn (Bill) Savering; Mimi’s grandchildren, Rylei, Kaitlyn, Abbigail; great-grandson, Keynan, and soon to be great-granddaughter; Sister in-law, Nancy Dietz; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews; Her beloved cat, Mr. Daisy.

Susan was a Conemaugh Valley High School graduate of 1978. She was beautician and a homemaker. Her hobbies included needle pointing and crafts, and camping. She made sure her loving family was always put first. Whether making them a good meal or just being in company with them. She was a devoted member of First Lutheran Church, Vine street, Johnstown, being a Sunday school teacher, helping with bible school, and sat on the church council. She was involved in many activities with her kids from hockey, boy scouts, and girl scouts. Susan also was in the Ladies Auxiliary at the Franklin VFW.

Friends and Family will be received from 3-7 P.M. on Wednesday, July 9th, 2025 and from 10-11 A.M. on Thursday, July 10th, 2025 at the Baker Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services (229-231 First Street, Conemaugh), where a Funeral Service will be held following at 11 AM officiated by Pastor, Nancy Hoover. Interment will be private for family.

The family would like to say a special thanks to the nurses at Windber Hospice for your utmost care and to the loving family and friends for your support throughout her time, especially Sally.
